Swedish courses at ST NICOLAS SCHOOL are organised at three levels and each lasts for six months.

Since the students who learn Swedish do it mainly for the purposes of living and working in Sweden, our teachers do their best to train them to communicate in everyday life situations.

ST NICOLAS SCHOOL offers three courses of Norwegian: elementary (A1 plus A2), intermediate (B1) and upper-intermediate (B2).

Each course lasts 5 months (40 X 90 minutes).

At the elementary course you learn about the Norwegian grammar, spelling and pronunciation. The focus is on practising everyday situations and real-life conversations.

At the intermediate and upper-intermediate courses you expand your vocabulary, broaden your knowledge of grammar and practise conversation further.

The units contain texts about Norwegian culture and history, as well as short literary texts and newspaper articles.

Italian courses at ST NICOLAS SCHOOL are based on modern and innovative language learning methods, thanks to which students can learn can learn to communicate in everyday situations with ease.

Through learning Italian language, the students acquire more information about Italian culture, habits and life in general.

ST NICOLAS SCHOOL provides Italian courses for students of all ages, starting from the age of 4 and upwards. Courses for adults last 4-6 months, depending on the level (A1 to C1).

Spanish language has about 470 speakers, among which 410 speak it as their native language. Besides Spain, this language is spoken in 22 more countries in the world.

ST NICOLAS SCHOOL offers Spanish courses at all levels for children and adults.

Bearing in mind the fact that Spanish is the official language in different countries and cultures, learning materials are especially diverse and interesting to our students.

French courses at ST NICOLAS SCHOOL are given throughout the year, from the initial A level to the highest C level, according to European standards. Students can opt for general courses, business courses or conversational courses in French.

Our French courses are attended by students of all age groups, from the age of 4 and upwards.

French classes are interesting, dynamic and interactive, supported by adequate audio and visual materials. The courses are organised in small groups, giving the students a chance to communicate more in French, acquire the language skills and express themselves easier and faster.

Having in mind the increasing need of our students to master German language for business cooperation with German companies or employment in German speaking countries, we offer intensive courses where the students have the opportunity to learn German as quickly as possible.

ST NICOLAS SCHOOL is the only school in Serbia where you can take German Euroexams which are internationally recognised!

The Euroexams are focused on all four language skill (writing, reading, listening and speaking), and they are aligned with Common European Framework.

They meet the real-world needs of language learners in a multi-lingual environment and test the learners’ ability to use language in a real-life environment.

The Euroexams are available at A1, A2, B1, B2 and C1 levels.

Japanese is an East Asian language spoken by about 125 million speakers, primarily in Japan, where it is the national language.
Japanese has no genetic relationship with Chinese, but it makes extensive use of Chinese characters, or kanji, in its writing system, and a large portion of its vocabulary is borrowed from Chinese.
The Japanese written language is considered to be the world’s most complex or difficult to learn.

We organise Japanese courses at two levels for adult students.

Serbian belongs to a group of Slavic languages. Standard Serbian equally uses both Cyrillic and Latin script, which makes it unique in Europe. However, the Cyrillic script is the official script of Serbia’s administration.
Most of the words in Serbian are of Slavic origin. Still, there are many loanwords from different languages (Turkish, German, Italian, Greek, Hungarian…).

Students who enrol a course of Serbian language for foreigners will have an opportunity not only to study the language but also to learn about Serbian culture and way of life.
Besides group courses, it is possible to have one-to-one lessons throughout the year.

Portuguese is a Romance language spoken by about 220 million people mainly in Portugal and Brazil, and also in Angola, Mozambique, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, São Tomé e Principe, East Timor, Equatorial Guinea and Macau.
Of the five main Romance languages (French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, and Romanian), Portuguese is the second most widely spoken after Spanish.

There are two variants of Portuguese language: dominant, Brazilian Portuguese, used by 80% of all Portuguese speakers in the world, and Continental Portuguese, which is an official language in Portugal, some African countries and in East Timor.

We offer Portuguese courses at four levels.

Chinese is the oldest written language in the world with roughly 6,000 years of history.
Chinese is written with characters which represent both sound and meaning. Words in Chinese can be made up of one or more syllables and each syllable is represented by a single character. There are over 20,000 Chinese characters, though only 3,000-4,000 or so are necessary to read a newspaper.
