ST NICOLAS SCHOOL offers three courses of Norwegian: elementary (A1 plus A2), intermediate (B1) and upper-intermediate (B2).
Each course lasts 5 months (40 X 90 minutes). 
At the elementary course you learn about the Norwegian grammar, spelling and pronunciation. The focus is on practising everyday situations and real-life conversations.
At the intermediate and upper-intermediate courses you expand your vocabulary, broaden your knowledge of grammar and practise conversation further. 
The units contain texts about Norwegian culture and history, as well as short literary texts and newspaper articles.

Japanese is an East Asian language spoken by about 125 million speakers, primarily in Japan, where it is the national language.
Japanese has no genetic relationship with Chinese, but it makes extensive use of Chinese characters, or kanji, in its writing system, and a large portion of its vocabulary is borrowed from Chinese.
The Japanese written language is considered to be the world’s most complex or difficult to learn.

We organise Japanese courses at two levels for adult students.

Serbian belongs to a group of Slavic languages. Standard Serbian equally uses both Cyrillic and Latin script, which makes it unique in Europe. However, the Cyrillic script is the official script of Serbia’s administration.
Most of the words in Serbian are of Slavic origin. Still, there are many loanwords from different languages (Turkish, German, Italian, Greek, Hungarian…).

Students who enrol a course of Serbian language for foreigners will have an opportunity not only to study the language but also to learn about Serbian culture and way of life.
Besides group courses, it is possible to have one-to-one lessons throughout the year.

Portuguese is a Romance language spoken by about 220 million people mainly in Portugal and Brazil, and also in Angola, Mozambique, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, São Tomé e Principe, East Timor, Equatorial Guinea and Macau.
Of the five main Romance languages (French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, and Romanian), Portuguese is the second most widely spoken after Spanish.

We offer Portuguese courses at four levels.

Chinese is the oldest written language in the world with roughly 6,000 years of history.
Chinese is written with characters which represent both sound and meaning. Words in Chinese can be made up of one or more syllables and each syllable is represented by a single character. There are over 20,000 Chinese characters, though only 3,000-4,000 or so are necessary to read a newspaper.
